This 3 class series covers a wide variety of texturing techniques using Blender Version 2.8 Beta.
Projection Mapping for quick texturing
Students will learn to quickly model a low-poly mesh based off a reference image. Then projecting UVs from the same model makes it very easy to use that same reference as the texture itself!
UV unwrap for total control
Students will learn techniques for proper unwrapping of 3D meshes; best practices for marking seams for organic and hard surface models.
Shader Editor and Compositor
Learn to create procedural networks for materials including rock, glass, metal, and wood. Once artists master several basic networks, then all it takes is a little mixing and matching to create original textures!
Once students get comfortable with particular workflows, then there is a methodical way to express creativity. This is a process we try to nurture with digital tools. Join this class and visualize your imagination!
