Class Description
Welcome to the only Intermediate level Blender Classes in San Diego! In this 4 week series, students will focus on modeling genre-specific props for video games or storytelling. The workflow will start from Blender's signature default cube and end with advanced texturing methods using the Shader Editor.
Low poly modeling concepts
Learn various methods to generate low poly meshes quickly and accurately. These skills build a strong foundation for 3D workflows including hard surface modeling, clean-up, and UV mapping.
UV Editor for texture mapping
UV unwrapping goes hand in hand with modeling lessons. Students learn the best practices for marking seams on both organic and hard surface models.
Texture Paint Tools
Blender 2.8 has incredible advancements in the Texture Paint Department, including a layer system functioning alongside the Shader Editor. Students get experience in painting with tablets using tools like gradient fill and stenciling.
