Class Description

We are winding down the year with the last Blender series of 2019. Production Workshop will encapsulate the wide array of new tools featured in Blender Version 2.8, inspiring students to be more creative than ever before. We've also added an extra 30 minutes of class time each week to allow for higher quality projects.

Organic and Hard Surface Modeling

Updated with new icons and a more intuitive interface, Blender 2.8 makes modeling more efficient without alienating legacy users.

Rigging for Animation

With all the buzz around the updated interface, it's easy to overlook the other aspects that keep Blender competitive in the professional animation industry. Sophisticated Rigging tools allow animators to perform with ease and flexibility.

Instance models and animation for crowd/swarm simulations

As we approach FX Dojo's annual Lunar New Year Art Show, the focus turns to a specific Zodiac animal. 2020 is the Year of the Rat and whatever creative minds can conjure up will be visualized!

Lighting and Rendering

This 3-week series is devoted to completing projects, so Lighting and Rendering will naturally be the final stages of production. Each week will jump-start students on a particular animation and we'll see where each artist goes with it!

FX Dojo is committed to combining art and technology in a well-rounded educational environment. We are located in Liberty Station, San Diego. Click HERE for detailed directions. I hope to see you in class soon!
