Class Description
Blender is an excellent tool for Architectural Visualization. Welcome to this new five-session workshop in Liberty Station San Diego! These classes show students how to use Blender Version 2.8 Betato light and render realistic looking interiors. The official release is expected in June 2019, but why not start using this program now? Many workflows have evolved, keyboard commands changed, but overall it still feels like Blender.
Use Modifiers For Speed And Accuracy
When building any kind of decorative accessory, the fun part is playing with proportions and measurements. Using modifiers makes it easy to adjust values and quickly see the final result.
Set Up Your Camera And Render Settings
Adjust shadows and set the mood. A gaffer on a movie set might have to limit the number of lights used for fear of too many shadows. In a 3D program like Blender, it is possible to shut off the “Cast Shadows” option anytime!
Compositing on a Background Plate
Visual Effects is all about creating CG and integrating it harmoniously onto a background plate. In earlier versions of Blender it was easy to confuse the Compositor with the Shader window. Now these similar node editors have been separated for clarity and ease of use.
