Class Description
Want to improve your modeling skills using Blender Version 2.92? This Intermediate level class is for you!
Build accurate replicas using a variety of photo reference!
Students will focus on polygon modeling during this intensive 3 session workshop to construct a variety of elements in a typical Japanese garden. From texturing stones to intricate lantern rooftops, all lessons will follow professional 3D modeling protocols.
Minimal setup and intuitive UX
FX Dojo online classes requires less than 5 minutes of preparation. After registration, students will receive clear email instructions on how to proceed using Discord, the popular chatroom app used by gamers worldwide. To participate, students will need:
- Computer (PC or Mac)
- Mouse and keyboard
- Reliable Internet connection
- Blender version 2.92 (free download)

- A Discord account (free)
Use modifiers for repetition and segmentation
The curves on traditional Japanese rooftops are a unique part of their aesthetic. Blender's Array and Boolean modifiers are powerful components of a non-destructive workflow. In other words, students will learn to design in a flexible and efficient way, developing a modern sense of creativity with digital tools.
Procedural vs Image Textures
Students will learn to create node networks to generate a variety of textures common in architectural rendering; wood, rock, brick, glass, and more.
