After continuously hitting their Kickstarter goals every year, Krita has become the dominant free alternative to Adobe Photoshop and Painter. Students will practice drawing exercises as well as learn about pixels and photo manipulation with this open source favorite.
Pen Pressure makes a difference!
After introducing the program and interface, students should get a feel for the pen and pressure. Learning to vary line thickness will help in overall drawing control.
Drawing Heads and Faces
It is important to draw from reference as well as from memory. Students will do both while practicing perspective and proportion.
